SARAH DABBS

BA(hons) MA

Designer

Personal Profile

Sarah's position of Designer at think architecture+design directly reflects her broad range of design skills and interests from the micro to the macro.

Initially she trained as an Interior Designer and gained a First Class Honours Degree at the University of Huddersfield where her thesis included a masterplan study of transitional spaces at a transport interchange. Whilst in London she had the benefit of working for some very high profile interior design companies specialising in high end retail, leisure and residential fit-out.

Upon joining careyjones in Leeds Sarah worked on the large O2 office relocation project the scale of which required the consideration of site wide master-planning studies. With an established interest of working at different scales Sarah decided to pursue an MA in Urban Environmental Design at Leeds Metropolitan University.

After completing her Urban Design studies Sarah worked alongside Leeds Civic Architect John Thorp on his book reviewing his work in Leeds over the years. Sarah's role was to assist with producing the required graphic output together with liaising with co-writer Rachael Unsworth.

More recently Sarah has turned her design skills to website design and development and is currently preparing a new site for think architecture+design.

Outside work Sarahs interests include literature and writing. As a former competition dancer she is currently laying the foundations to set up her own dance school.

Assisting with world peace is also on her agenda.
