My working relationship with Simon was based upon our involvement in the Merchant Gate project in Wakefield for English Cities Fund.

Simon led the design team from the projects infancy through to commencement on site, showing tremendous patience and skill in bringing the project into being. This required both design tenacity and the ability to work with a wide and varying array of people in both the public and private sectors.

Simon was always prepared to go the extra mile that is so often required for a project's success and has an excellent knowledge of the whole process accumulated through his extensive experience.

Simon always thoroughly enjoys his job and his cheerful nature helps bring out the best in those around him.
