Nik Dockree

Director

Ripley Capital

I have worked with Simon Smithson for around 10 years while working in London and more recently in Leeds. During my time in London, Simon worked on our bid for the Leeds International pool site where we brought together a focused Leeds architectural team with Ken Shuttleworth of Make where we narrowly missed out on buying the site.

Since 2009, when my business partner Mark Leonard and I formed Ripley Capital, we brought in Think to investigate the purchase of 21 Queen Street. Through our partnership with Formal Investments we were successful in purchasing the 24,000 sq ft office building where we are developing plans for an enhanced 37,000 sq ft prime office building. With their balance of planning, design and innovation skills Simon and the team have formulated a design which is critically deliverable in cost, planning and tenant perception terms.

We consider think a+d part of our team now and as a result brought them into our work with other strategic partners and continue to explore new development, refurbishment and strategic projects with Simon, Jonathan and Sarah.
